A lovely kitten with striking markings was discovered wandering outdoors. Fast forward two months later, her dream of finding companionship was fulfilled with the addition of three more feline friends.
Cloud and Polly, the dynamic duo from 5_star_strays, have been dedicated to rescuing animals for more than a decade. Recently, Shelly received a call about three helpless kittens in urgent need of assistance.
A kind-hearted individual had discovered the kittens all alone outside, with no sign of their mother anywhere. Despite their efforts to locate the cat mom, she seemed uninterested in looking after her babies.
The kittens were in a sorry state – their eyes were sealed shut from infections, and they were severely undernourished. Shelly wasted no time in scooping up the tiniest kitten and administering life-saving care, before returning to aid the other two kittens in need.
They were discovered roaming around outdoors without their mother in sight. Shelly, from 5 Star Strays, found them and couldn’t bear to leave them alone, even though she already had 16 rescues in her care. “I brought them home with me, even though they were only three weeks old. I knew they would soon be ready to start eating solid food,” Shelly told Love Meow.
Polly quickly adapted to bottle feeding, as shared by Shelly from 5 Star Strays. Shelly’s nurturing included a bottle for a few weeks before transitioning to mixed wet food. The kittens, named Polly, Cloud, and Destiny, were cared for with love and dedication. Despite Shelly’s best efforts, Destiny, the smallest of the litter, didn’t make it. Polly and Cloud, on the other hand, eagerly fed from the bottle, satisfying their little bellies at each feeding session.
Shelly, from 5 Star Strays, shared a heartwarming update about Polly and Cloud, who transformed into happy, healthy cats under her care. With good food and medical attention, their health improved significantly. Shelly said she arrived just in time to prevent any long-term issues. Additionally, she made sure to spay the mother cat and a few others in the neighborhood to prevent future litters.
Shelly from 5 Star Strays described Polly as having gorgeous patterns and a vibrant personality. The calico kitty, Polly, was blessed with stunning markings that only intensified as she grew older. She confidently roamed around with her tail held high while her brother, Cloud, followed closely behind, his eyes full of curiosity. Together, they mastered the art of eating from a dish and using the litter box, embarking on their adventures as a dynamic duo.
Cloud and Polly have come a long way in their growth and development, according to Shelly from 5 Star Strays. They have been introduced to other foster cats in the house to help them socialize. After getting to know the other cats and sniffing around, they happily engaged in playful antics, fitting in perfectly with the group.
Polly and Cloud have fully healed and transformed into lively young cats. They have formed close bonds with several foster kittens, who have taken on roles as mentors. When Shelly started looking for a new home for them, Donna, a familiar face from a previous adoption, pleasantly surprised her by expressing interest in adopting four kittens.
Shelly @5_star_strays shared that Donna instantly fell in love with Polly, Cloud, and their two foster buddies, feeling unable to split them up. Just a week ago, all four of them were happily adopted and settled into their new forever home.
Shelly from 5 Star Strays shared, “It’s a rare occurrence to find someone willing to take in four cats at once… It’s an opportunity you simply can’t pass up.” In just a few days, the four cats have adjusted beautifully to their new surroundings, now living happily with six other feline companions. They can be seen joyfully running around the house, playing without a care in the world.
Polly and Cloud were recently welcomed into their forever home along with their foster buddies by Shelly at 5 Star Strays. They are smitten with their human mom and have already formed a strong bond with their new cat siblings.
